Forever Immortalized

Define Immortalized: ‘to bestow unending fame upon; perpetuate.’

In my absence from blogging I have been searching for new material or news to make my comeback with a bang. So, when I received one of the greatest pieces of news to date in rock history I just had to blog about it. If you didn’t already guess from my blog title then where have you been?! It is with great honour that I can finally say… DISTURBED HAVE RETURNED! Yes.. that’s right. You did read it correctly. Disturbed are once again ALIVE and David Draiman’s voice is filling the hearts (and ears) of the world with joy, passion and emotion. And not forgetting a generous amount of goosebumps all over the body πŸ˜‰

On the 21.08.2015 or in America’s case 08.21.2015 Disturbed’s new album will be released: Immortalized. Over the past few weeks of announcing the end of their hiatus they have released 3 tracks off their new album:- which I think I can speak for everyone when I say they leave us wanting more and more. The first track The Vengeful One was a fantastic track to primarily release, it makes such a strong statement that Disturbed are back… and better than ever. I must say this track just epitimized their return for me; with their iconic sound, meaningful lyrics and Draiman’s unique, emblematic vocals of Disturbed you know an explosive album is coming our way.

The release of a suprise second track, the self acclaimed album title ImmortalizedΒ was just beyond what I could expect to come from Disturbed. In my opinion this song holds such a perpetual and tenacious meaning. My body is covered with goosebumps from head to toe as soon as I hear the opening note. This song and album title just completely astounded me.

Listen to this… you won’t regret it.

As quoted above I defined Immortalized…Β ‘to bestow unending fame upon; perpetuate.’Β  I believe their album title choice couldn’t of been more perfect. This is what Disturbed are all about, creating music that is powerful, emotional and meaningful which results in them never being forgotten and going down in history as one of the most iconic rock bands to ever exist that will never be forgotten. Disturbed’s rock status will live on through their passionate, meaningful lyrics and music.

Along with the news of their return came a rather shocking, surreal event in my life. One day on my twitter page I received a favourite on one of my tweets about Disturbed and I was shocked to find that it was T.J Sagen…Only Disturbed’s manager!!!!! OMG #isthisrealoradream

So… I thought I’ll take a change and follow him. I was speechless when he actually followed me back, so I messaged him on the off change. AND HE ONLY WENT AND REPLIED!!! He was such a lovely, down to earth guy. He is a key element in Disturbed’s success and return after all. I just hope he reads this and understands that I am truly honoured and I appreciate all his hard work in guiding Disturbed to where they are. You are an inspiration and if I could do what you do, my life would be complete. Hopefully a tour is on the cards with the new album release and I would love it if you all joined us in the UK sometime and maybe I might be so lucky as to shake the hands of one of the most idolised bands and their manager. (btw I live in Birmingham, England so playing here would be a huge bonus) πŸ˜‰

I hope this blog has been an enjoyable read and if you have any comments feel free to talk to me below or follow me on twitter @BloggerAdrianne. I don’t bite… honest. I look forward to your views and hope you share the same amount of passion and excitement for Disturbed’s official hiatus end and the release of their new album as I do.

Until next time my fellow music lovers… xoxo

I have been thinking lately about whether to start up a vlog alongside this written blog so you guys can start to understand me more personally. Anyway, I feel a vlog would allow me to express my thoughts and feelings in a more direct approach to you guys. Let me know what you think about this idea? πŸ™‚

Right…. keep your eyes peeled on this space there will be new blog posts coming up shortly & you won’t be disappointed.

Bye for now my fellow rockers!

Is Rock Music Dead or Alive?

Hi music lovers!

I’m so very sorry this post has taken a while to be uploaded. I’v recently started a new job which has taken up a lot of my time the past few weeks, but hoping to get back on track with my blog now.

Right… this week I’m taking a step away from my favourite bands and artists to talk about one of my new friends vlog. Ray, from Chain of Scars (an awesome rock band originating from Holland) has started a new weekly vlog in which I am honoured to say he was inspired to start by myself.

Take a look at his first vlog below πŸ™‚ :

In Ray’s initial vlog there was one question that stood out to me that I want to focus on this week which many people fear; ‘maybe rock is dead?’

My answer and opinion on this is NO.Β  I don’t believe for one second that rock is dead and it never will be. This worry and concern for rock music is very common around the globe but there is no need to fear the demise of the rock genre and I’ll give you one good reason why.

Over the many decades of the evolving rock genre there have been a collection of bands and artists that have shaped the world of music through their lyrics and compositions, going on to become some of the world’s most prestigious artists of all time. These would include:

  • Disturbed
  • Metallica
  • Eagles
  • The Beatles
  • Led Zeppelin
  • Pink Floyd
  • Nirvana
  • The Rolling Stones
  • Aerosmith
  • Black Sabbath
  • Queen
  • Meatloaf
  • Bon Jovi
  • Iron Maiden and many many more!

I can tell you that rock will never die! As long as the material and influence these bands and artists have had on the genre lives on throughout the world then rock will always live on…! Anyway, rock music has become a mainstream phenomenon within the music industry, even in the present era of the likes of One Direction. ROCK MUSIC IS IN CONTROL!

From developing away from a niche market to becoming a global, iconic genre that is continuing to evolve then the extent of the rock music industry has no worries what so ever. Let the legends and their music live on and so shall rock.

Ray, you have nothing to worry about. Rock music will always be a part of the world… keep doing what you love and one day Chain of Scars could be joining the list above πŸ˜‰

That’s all for this post guys, sorry it’s a short one but I just wanted to reassure you all that rock music is going nowhere so long as we believe in it and continue the legacies of the above artists and bands.

Until next time my rocks πŸ˜‰ xoxo

I’d just like to personally thank these bands at this stage as they have shown me great support and interest and vice versa, I got a feeling were all going to go far guys! Ok, now all my thank you’s are done I can get onto this weeks blog subject. This week I want you guys to get to know me and my favourite rock band a little better. Sooooo, let’s get onto reliving my Night to Remember! πŸ˜€

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!

From the moment they arrived in the industry, rocked Download Festival and released the news of their ‘All Signs Point to Britain’ UK tour, I knew I had to see them live. Honestly, I took advantage of my mom’s o2 Priority and ordered tickets to see A Day to Remember!!!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!! IMAG0925_1 On the 19th November, 2014 I was filled with excitement that I cannot express in words as it was time to witness my favourite band rocking the stage of Rock City, Nottingham in person. Before I laid eyes on ADTR their supporting act entertained us with some of their material. I have to say, I was rather impressed with Lower Than Atlantis, their sound is similar to that of You Me At Six and All Time Low. So, if your into that kind of music then I highly recommend you give them a listen. Once A Day to Remember came on stage the atmosphere in the room escalated. It was beyond comprehension, I cannot express the gratitude and high level of emotions amongst the crowd. As Jeremy Mckinnon started singing I was covered from head to toe in goosebumps, I couldn’t believe I was actually seeing them live. From the Downfall of us All to End of Me I was completely mesmerised by the moment. A Day to Remember are such a raw and talented rock band and throughout the 90 minute set my love for live music and gigs escalated. I fell in love with the atmosphere, the emotion and the raw simplicity and focus on the music itself rather than image or performance. That’s what makes rock music a passion of mine… the meaning of the music and lyrics within each artists material within the industry. It’s just truthful!

What do you guys think? Leave your thoughts and opinions below or message me on Twitter @BloggerAdrianne.

I’m afraid that’s all for now my friends, I shall be posting again this week about live music and the first gig I attended where I was left speechless. BUT… You’ll have to come back to find out who πŸ˜‰ Until next time my fellow music lovers! xoxo

You had me at hello

Why hello there! Welcome to my first official blog…YAY! My name is Adrianne, I’m 22 and a university media graduate, but you can read all about that on my profile.

Right guys and girls, this week I’m not going to be talking about much other than what I intend to accomplish from this weekly blog of mine. As you probably assumed from the title, yes I am a massive fan of music, especially the rock genre. So, you guessed it! I am becoming a music blogger. EEEK. By doing this, I am hoping that not only will it entertain and inform you guys but also improve my chances of following my dreams and working within the music industry.

OK. First things first let’s put a face to the name…

Anywhoo, let’s get this blog a rockin and rolling! (don’t ask) Today, im just going to outline what I’m hoping to do over the next few weeks while you guys get to know me and my established music library. Firstly, I’v listed the many artists who appear on my Spotify playlist below;

Following this blog, each week I am going to take one of my many favourite artists and explore their music and the record label they are signed to, linking them to artists with similar sounds. I hope this will influence people who read my blog and make them understand the emotion and extremely hard work put into this genre of music in particular. Right guys, I think that’s enough to get me started for now.

I hope your intrigued by my first blog and will continue to return and read my future posts, don’t forget there will be a new post once or twice a week. I would love it if you guys have any questions, opinions on how to better my blog or topics/bands I could research and explore with you all.
